the POI will change I have used the older one with just 5 mag then on a 17 hmr and then added the doubler for the 20 tac for longer shots. to be honest I can shoot most things that come out from 50 300 yards no bother. if I had the cash flow I think I may have had this as the first drone is for me just as good as the 10x, the doubler does come off, but I can tell you taking it on and off will not do it any favour's the thread is very tight and you cross thread it and your up the swany without a boat never mind a paddle. good luck with the sale its worth every penny bob.
