Yes.......assuming you're both full NRA members with current membership and shooters cards. Pete

I seem to remember buying RS52 in a nice 10kg plastic barrel.......favourite powder for 308, 6BR, and 223. Pete

We have spare barrels in different calibres for a couple of our rifles and there's no identifying number for these either on the barrels or the FAC's. Just the calibre and manufacturers name, "spare barrel" in the Type column, and "none" in the ID number column. Then again, all our rifles are pretty much "mongrels", made up from various bits... What irritates me is driving 50 miles to Bisley, paying £53 for two hours on a Shotmarker target, only to get an error message that one sensor isn't properly connected with the first shot, and then to be told "You can ignore that, it's still working OK....." If that's the case, why not build the thing with three sensors in the first place?? Or better still, check it's fully operational BEFORE the punters arrive?? And that mysterious shot that's recorded as a black circle on the roundel but that isn't scored in the box at top right........we were told this is most likely caused by frame movement between shots due to wind. The system is apparently used with rigid steel target frames in the US....that sounds a bit dodgy to me. The chances of ricochet are pretty high, and it CAN come straight back. And if it can, sooner or later, it will. I remember a mate getting smacked in the Jacobs with a 22 air rifle pellet that did just that.... Then again, they do have a lot more room to play in the US... Pete

Abolition of the 28 day rule for shooting static targets in Scotland
Re-Pete replied to srvet's topic in General Discussion
I was thinking more in terms of someone who's been given permission to shoot over another persons land, but who doesn't belong to any shooting organisation. Back in the day, I rented a bungalow on a 600 acre mixed farm for a few years, and the owner said he'd be happy if I shot rabbits and pigeons as long as I left the pheasants and duck alone (for his paying syndicate). I obtained a shotgun cert, bought an old AYA 12 bore for £45, and enjoyed lots of rabbit meat, but I don't remember anyone asking me about insurance....... Pete -

Is there currently any requirement to show that you have "adequate" insurance cover if you're a game shooter/stalker who doesn't belong to a club? Is there a definition of "adequate" given anywhere? Pete -
Two Pacific Tool & Gauge reamers, one marked: 20 VARTARG TURBO RGH, PTG 10/07, the other : 20 VT TURBO .234 NK PTG 8/07, plus GO and NO GO gauges. Some info here : http://www.accuratereloading.com/20vtt.html No idea what they're worth......I acquired them from a late colleagues estate. They do appear to be in good condition. £120 posted ? Or try an offer? Re-Pete

At a recent renewal, we noticed that the online application (Beta version?) didn't mention "proof of use", but when the FEO dropped in, he asked for it. This was a copy of the NRA Bisley log. We haven't bought factory centrefire ammo for at least 12 years now... the office knows that we reload. Pete

Excellent, I'd say..... Pete
