  1. Stunner, look forward to hearing how it shoots 👍🏻
  2. Do Area 419 specifically say why Garmin have taken this decision?
  3. Now in stock 👍🏻
  4. Dellboy, I appreciate the offer, but I’m not sure how feasible it would be and wouldn’t want to inconvenience you. The supplier details are here https://www.strobl.cz/en/contacts and the actual item is this one https://www.strobl.cz/en/22lr-shell-holder-ch4d_p765
  5. I’d like to keep the ballistics as close as possible to a normal target round, so prefer the idea of redistributing the lead rather than removing it. This will presumably affect the bullets B.C. but I suspect not to a great extent, however the ability to determine the shape/size of the cavity will provide another avenue to try and tune it.
  6. Yes, but I’d prefer it to operate from a shellholder a bit like the Waltz style die. There was an article on here a while ago which caught my eye, and I’ve never got round to pursuing it. If it was commercially available, I’d probably just buy one, but it disappeared without trace, so after being unable to secure decent quantities of hollowpoints I decided to have a crack at making one.
  7. Yes, I’m in the process of trying to make a tool similar the Paco Acu’rzr for making hollowpoints from standard target ammunition and need the shellholder for the press ram.
  8. Anyone? I did find a supplier in Czechoslovakia but they won’t send as we are no longer part of the EU 🤷‍♂️ I was quoted £28 delivery for a £12 shellholder from the US plus whatever charges the U.K. imposes when it lands. If all else fails, I’ll have to try and make something, but it’s far from my preferred option.
  9. Used the 223 for over 30 years, it’s never let me down. Negligible recoil, accurate at normal ranges, plenty of knockdown power for foxes, components and ammunition readily available, good barrel life, available in huge number of different rifles and configurations. What’s not to like 👍🏻
  10. Not Federal GM, but Henry Kranks were advertising Geco small rifle primers.
  11. Bit of a strange one but can anyone direct me to a U.K. based supplier for a .22LR shellholder? Thanks.
  12. All working now, thanks 👍🏻
  13. Still the same, won’t let me use the search option either.
  14. Hi, Dont know why, but for the last few days, when I log in as normal and select unread messages, I get the error shown below. Any help would be appreciated, I can see a similar type issue in the posts from years ago, but that was on the old forum software, and I can’t see equivalent options.
  15. Where were they? I did find one stall advertising Magtech primers at ÂŁ70 a 1000, but he had no rifle primers left, granted it was 10am on the first day.
  16. I saw that as well 🤦🏻‍♂️
  17. They do indeed have a decent selection of primers, form an orderly queue please.
  18. To coin a phrase, “It’s grim up North”. Rifle primers of any description are like hens teeth, last I saw were some CCI BR for almost £200 a thousand. I’ve shared almost all of my stash with pals and it’s not looking good for the future. A small consolation is that pistol primers are available though.
  19. https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/meopta-meopro-optika-6-5-30x56-ffp-mrad-rd-rifle-scope?mc_cid=bc0eb0c318&mc_eid=fe47906676 I also like the look of this one, and had a look through one a couple of weeks ago, but a few things make me hesitate. 1) There are no rotational indicator marks. 2) It states it will parallax down to 25y, but I occasionally shoot 20m and I also assume it would be even worse at the highest magnification. 3) A 10 year warranty.
  20. “Always helpful to get a users opinion, sometimes just buying a name isn't the best option. However, I am a fan of Maxpedition kit. If you have three, all the same or different, also which ones do you use? “ I use two Maxpedition MPB, one green and one FDE both with different load outs for both indoor and outdoor ranges where I need different kit. I find it easier to just grab the right bag according to where I’m going rather than load and unload a single bag every time I go. Similarly, I use a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack when hunting again pre loaded with the specific equipment I’m likely to need.
  21. A quick search for “range bags” will throw up a myriad of bags and manufacturers covering a wide range of prices, capacities and features such as 5.11, Orca, Rangemaxx etc. My personal favourites remains “Maxpedition” I have three, but admittedly they are not the cheapest.
  22. Think I’ve used just about all of the makes over the years, although they’ve never been my first choice I’ve never had a problem with Magtech primers.
