Fox cubs hunting

Recommended Posts

I had a very enjoyable evening yesterday.

Took along my 22.250 and my new video camera for company.

Spotted four fox cubs playing in the evening sun and learning to hunt.

Didn't have the heart to shoot them , they are not a pest on this land and I was happy to watch them play.

I even left them a couple of rabbit flavoured snacks.

Definately going soft in my old age.

Hi Mark.

I never noticed that noise until you pointed it out ..... DAMN ! I am going to be listening for it all the time now

The camera is a panasonic SDR - T55. This gives more optical zoom than the JVC I was using.

The fox is a beautiful and graceful animal and we are lucky to have them.

Lovely film that, i have a large permission where i am asked not to shoot the foxes, i catch them in the rabbiting lamp now and then, so i can sit and watch them about their business.

Just saw a comment on the video about them dispersing causing a poultry problem, i so agree! You should of taken out the parent first followed by the rest of them. I had this situation a month ago, turned my soft side off and cracked on with the business. Foxes are on the increase every where.

Carl.
