TonyH
I haven't needed to buy scope mounts for some time. Would anyone recommend suppliers who genuinely keep good stocks of steel bases & rings by good makers such as Leupold, Hilver, possibly Warne, Burris...? I prefer Leupold's standard steel rings (probably need Medium height) and their 2-piece bases, for a Remington 700 SA. Thanks - TonyH

gareth
Optics Warehouse sell Leupold, Farrell, Burris and Midway UK have a wide selection. The problem with these two though can sometimes be what they have in stock, worth a look none the less.
PeteL
If you require Hilver/BSquare/Tasco(same maker) the importer is Edgar Bros. They will probably be able to supply you with the name of your local stockist. My Krico 243 has Hilver Stud mounts and having recently decided to change to a S&B 3-12X50, I rang Edgar Bros. Unfortunately, they didn't have 30mm rings in stock so, being an impatient sort, I emailed the Manufacturers in Australia. They were very helpful indeed and my rings are on the way. http://www.lynxoptics.com.au/lynxscopemounts.html I can recommend the Leupold dovetail mounts, my 270 Remmy has had the same scope and Leupold mounts for over thirty years and never a moments trouble - dropped the lot out of a tree once and zero was still spot on.
