JC275
Hi Spud, has your 75 action got the set trigger which you push forward? one of mine has and it is very good. Might be worth running with the Sako trigger for a bit, you might find that it is perfectly acceptable. JC

TC
Have a chat with Varmartin re: trigger Spud. I was planning on changing mine out but a lighter spring and a touch of moly transformed it. The only way I would change it now would be if CG ever came out with the Sako75 hanger (which seems unlikely) and only because I like two stage triggers. Tikka 260
Jard Trigger for the Sako 75 ? Hmmmm Well, my tuppence worth is...... Dasherman spent some time trying to put one into my Sako 75 earlier this year, and in the end we gave up on it, as it couldn't be made or adjusted to be safe from slam fire at the rated operating weight. Reverted to the standard trigger, which for deer / fox work is just fine at about 2.5 lbs. Jard don't get good write ups on any of the US Forums that I've read either, and Customer Service is less than perfect apparently. Just wish Arnold Jewel could be talked into a "Sako 75 version"
1967spud
i spoke to peter at jackson rifles today and all he saud was "dont even bother" nuff said i only wanted to change it for the sake of saying it was custom but i can more than live with the original happy days

flytie
I thought I had seen a Timney trigger unit advertised for sako's. I have just checked Gunmart and it is Jacksons that are selling them. Are they no good? ft

col48
Hi its a simple matter to get the standard trigger down to a nice and safe weight. just change the spring. there is really no need to swap once you have done this. it is a good unit just a simple fine tune will have it working great ATB Colin

col48
Hi I have taken the spud stock in delivery today and it will not be long before the final part of this jigsaw puzzle comes together. Its going to be a bit of a beast, abut should give him many years of excellent sport. the stock is top notch and has been delivered just before the actual delivery date, they quoted 4 to 5 month, its come in just under 4. IMHO the wait is worth it, i have used most stocks now and still the mcmillans seem to be the best, but hell they are getting expensive, I priced one up from Jackson's the other day and £487 But i think Robertson's are £400 odd. but I'm afraid i would still have to go for a MC. As usual work up to this load please, it is however fine in my gun. Cheers and good luck. Dave
