Old brass.

Hi,

Does anyone know were you can sell your old and knackered brass. My local scrap merchant won't deal with it even though the brass is de-primed.

Thanks nick

Alot of places won't take it.

I did find somewhere that did but how much you get for it it's more trouble than it's worth. It was added too any copper and lead I've collected over a period. The brass money would barely cover the fuel costs to get there and back on its own...

There's a scrappy who takes our brass in Stoke.  It's not much so I doubt you'd recoup your fuel cost from Manchester.  Try phoning around.

I know it's not answering your question but maybe have a go at melting it down and making something :) its good fun and who knows, if you make something someone wants you might get quite a bit for it!

Hi,

I've looked into melt down the brass, YouTube it and I have most components. Just finding time to get it done.

Thanks nick
