I'm using a Windows tablet but the principle is the same. When I'm home I can confirm the details of the above. The bottom line is you don't have to spend a.fortune. Usb microscope Your apple may not need software but I use this for Windows http://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/downloads At least it should give you a few ideas.
