Ejcb
Have seen an RPA Interceptor in the above chambering for sale, 28 inch barrel but with a 1-9 twist. i was expecting a 1-8 to stabilise the 140 - ish grain bullets for long range. it appears that this twist is a RPA factory offering, is there a reason that 1-8 isn’t used by RPA for this chambering? Xtrema
I would agree. Even for the 130gr most manufacturers recommend a twist of 1-8.5. I guess the reason is that a faster twist would compromise velocity with 140gr, particularly for long range.
