Saracen7
Hi folks. I've used the Berger 230 OTM Hybrids in my 300 Win Mag with great success for long range targets etc... , but due to price, I'm looking at trying the new Sierra 230 Matchking ( 0.8 BC!). Yes, I know the Sierra requires a 1 in 8 twist. The Berger flys well out of a 1 in 10 twist. Anyone tried heavy 30 calibre bullets ; what were they, and what results were obtained? Thanks. terryh
Just starting again with 30 cal for longer ranges, have a supply of the 230g Berger OTM’s on hand. Only previous experinace was with the 300WM where I used 190SMK’s as a duplication of the US military loading and the 210g Bergers - but this was a good while back, lots of others to try now. Hornady perhaps? 225g ELD Match? T
John MH
225g ELD Match is popular in the US.
VarmLR
Only used the 190 smks but found them pretty good. Probably better than I'm capable of shooting. Just over moa from a factory .308 at 900m (10 shot group).
