No-Splash .22LR 'Gong'

Recommended Posts

I didn't fully tighten the fist on this one, thinking that if left a bit springy, it would better absorb impact.

At 50m, it's taken about 50 hits so far (I'm playing with open sights).  The looseness gives a nice 'thwack' sound and it jumps well, but settles quickly.

Damage to the gong so far seems to be about the same as trying to unpick the fist with a few jabs of a blunt knitting needle. It's now no longer a neat knot but still a solid gong mass.  Haven't tried retightening the knot as one face had still-wet yellow spray paint on it!
