sandtrap
Is there a lower limit for being charged import duty say if the item is only $15 postoffice usually adds their handling fee of £9:99 so ordering something so low value would not be worth it ? Ronin
I’ve found that regardless of value I get charged duty on anything from the states So a reamer of $150 becomes the current exchange rate conversion, plus 20% vat, plus £10 “admin” plus carriage - whixh has been as high as $70 for a single small item Not ideal

Don't forget that it also depends on the type of item being imported - some items will incur a higher fee. Use an online calculator to help you understand if it's worth it or not 👍 https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/
