JabaliHunter
Why has my phone started flashing up red warnings that the UKV site is "not secure" when signing in? Is this a concern?

bradders
This site has never been secure, it says so on the left hand side of the address bar in my browser, there’s no padlock symbol

baldie
I think it depends on what your computer settings are. I've had this out with my hoster, but its like pissing in the wind. I'm going to get the website professionally done again in the new year.
VarmLR
Generally, it means that a site may not have a valid SSL certificate and in reality may have very little to do with how secure it is or not. For example, some sites may well operate with secure encryption, but may not have applied for or paid for an SSL certificate which is a standard of encryption preventing hackers stealing data between transmission and reception of site data. With SSL in place you get the green padlock symbol. My own website is safe (or so I'm assured by its builder) but I haven't paid for the SSL (yet) hence it also shows "not secure" even though it uses secure encryption. baldie
I've drawn a line under it, as life is too short to deal with the muppets. Had a long chat with Steve Thornton today, who is starting work on a more professional site for me, over Christmas.😃
VarmLR
Good luck with it Baldie....I've just been given a quote for SSL certification for mine...there's various levels but cost quoted was from £140 to £240 to set it up.
