Accu monopod or rear bag

Hello guys, 

 

I would like to ask you if anyone could tell me benefits or pros to buy rather bag or monopod. I use krg X-Ray chassis and shoot on long range

Bags quicker to adjust and possibly allows rifle to recoil freely depending on how its used, monopod is always attached though

I tried the monopod bug quickly went back to a TAB Gear bag..... much quicker to adjust with a squeeze.

Yep did the same as above, My shooting has improved no end

TAB Gear rear bag for me, I found a monopod was too much of a faff.

Monopods I think are a real waste of money.

Depending on the shape of your stock, you can get a fixed 'wedge' shape bag rider for the bottom of the stock. These sit on a rear rest or TAB style bean bag and provides a much more stable platform. Wedges are very popular with benchrest shooters.

I went with a monopod when they first were around maybe 15 years ago,  very slow to use but had no issues with how they performed.   But it was something else to carry so took it off.    I feel I shot marginally better with the pod rather than a bag but I dont usually go far enough to determine a real difference.
