No i deer Posted July 24, 2018 Report Share Posted July 24, 2018 In the reloading manuals all the work have been done for you including the best accuracy with some at stated oals.obviously experimenting with the powder weights and oals can fine tune your load The quickload is very technical but to most of us alot of it is just a words or numbers that doesn't really mean anything too us as we don't really understand it's science.it depends whether your interested in it or not.there is no substitute for actual testing.it depends on your attitude towards accuracy.alot of us don't need benchrest accuracy for staking Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Webby Posted July 24, 2018 Report Share Posted July 24, 2018 Taking on board the above. If you still want to use quick load then there are many ways to run windows on a Mac. The downside is expense of course. You need a copy of windows and also if you want it to work simultaneously and use all yr Mac features something like vmware fusion which allows windows and Mac to run at the same time on yr pc and stores files in the same place. IME with SRP brass, it is not possible to make sensible predictions anyway as it depends very much on the bullet + powder combination. In 308 Win 'Palma' brass, I've seen the SRP effect ranging from the equivalent of around half-grain to 1.4gn charge weight reduction compared to the same combination in Lapua LRP brass with the same capacity. QL is invaluable in other respects of course, such as where the combination contemplated cannot be found anywhere else in manufacturers' published or online datasets. I think you can put in your case capacity in h2o if you have measured it ! It really is a great tool. Soo many listed calibers its unreal . You know that saying - by once - cry once ?
