Bushcraft Hunting Knife

Recommended Posts

They are just words

A knife suitable for bushcraft is also suitable for most hunting applications

Usually vice versa - however a lot of hunting knives stray into the 'Rambo' world and those are a useful as a chocolate fireguard

One caveat to the above - folding knives are generally not sufficiently robust for bushcraft use

I prefer a 3 - 4mm blade stock and scandi grind for my Bushcraft knife.

My stalking knifes have a 2.5 - 3mm blade stock with a hollow grind or micro bevel.

Bushcraft blades need to take more abuse and a stalking knife doesn't.

Also I find a longer thinner blade with sharp drop point better for bleeding.

Googgle Mora ,they`ll do both jobs,  cheap and good , (get the carbon ones) if you lose it or damage it just buy another , no tears shed.

It seems right because they may be different in wording but are same in real sense.
