It is with great sadness to say that my friend George Balfour passed away in his sleep last night.

I will post details of his funeral arrangements/family wishes etc when known.

Very very sad news.

My heartfelt condolences go out to all the family & friends. I will surely miss the presence here of a great man.

I didn’t know George, but I liked his input on the site and enthusiasm for shooting. Terribly sad news, my thoughts with his family and friends.

I’ve had many a conversation with George on this forum and I’ll miss that. Very sad news but maybe a blessing that his terrible illness wasn’t too protracted. RIP.
