Trigger was crisp, like the proverbial glass rod breaking, stock was perfect for the wet weather, it shot fine and I hit what I was aiming at.

Benchrest reviews will need to be by someone else with more time and patience than me I am afraid.

It's a keeper

Thanks for the good words. Makes the long wait for my T1X seem worth it.~Andrew

Nice to know it’s up to expectations for your kind of shooting and is a keeper.

How did you find the action, was it up to usual Tikka standards?

Having never had a Tikka before I couldn't say, however I can say it is good enough that I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed one...................... which is unlikely as I nearly have too many already (based on the size of the Gun cabinet and nothing else)

Does anyone know which picatinny rail conversion could work for the 11mm rail.

Hi Gyr, could you take a picture of the top of your 11mm rail. Does it not have the usual T3 screw on rail option?

What cal did you get?

I have it on good authority that they are being released in the following order:

1. Devillishly handsome people first

2. Good looking people second

3. Not bad in a dark room third

4. FUGLIES last

Which is why I was able to collect my 20" .22LR version this morning!

All in all a very nice little rifle!

Load testing???

I thought any intelligent buyer of a quality rimfire will try various ammo types to see what shoots best

That is referred to as ammo testing, load testing is diffurnt

I accept i got it wrong. I do know better, posting in a hurry lesson learned,  just a bit harsh criticism re my intelligence. I have had an evening class self education in the t1x adjusting the trigger. Lesson 1 - the Barrel on the 22lr is not free floated. I didn't know that. Any way plenty accurate so i won't be needing a lilja.

Only, I think, from the perspective of one with a marked degree of pedantry!

You were testing different loads - which most people would agree could reasonably be described as 'load testing'.

I don't see that it matters that the loads were manufactured by large-scale commercial undertakings rather than by you.

I recon I'll have a 6.5-20x50 Conquest left over to use on the T1X. Throw it in a lightweight tactical stock and start with off-hand practice in the garden. Handling & ergonomics will be the same as on my hunting rifles. The only reason I don't shoot 22's is because the stocks on my CZ's and scope height are all wrong, for me at least. Bit of ammo/load testing and off we go...
