Enfield Enforcer 7.62x51

Recommended Posts

An original Enfield Enforcer ser No 230, 7.62 x 51 this was issued to Kent police in June 1974, the barrel is original with a very good bore unfortunately the scope and mag are mismatched but this has no detrimental effect on the rifle as the scopes were commercial and unlike the L42 or No4T were not collumated to the rifle, the scope no is 497 and mag 338, an awful lot of these rifles are mismatched as when they were sold out of service nobody was really that bothered.
It also comes with the original Parker Hale target sights, and Harris bipod, the rubber butt pad has been changed by Fulton’s as it is perishing, and the original is included.
The rifle is in lovely condition and if you require any further information or photos do not hesitate to ask.
A bit of history
There were around 767 manufactured by Enfield, not all were assembled.

Police forces purchased Enforcers depending on their budgets at the time; some purchased complete kits including target sights & Pecar scopes,
other purchased basic rifles, and then purchased the scopes etc as their budgets allowed.

A few original Enforcers were surplused in the late 1990s the rest approximately 50% were destroyed by the individual Police Forces.

This is a Genuine Police Issued Enfield Enforcer serial number 230, it is matching on the action and bolt.

The barrel is original as it bears the “Patent Applied for” mark only found on genuine Enforcers and the bore is in good condition.

The Enforcer Sniper rifles are rarer than No4Ts & L42A1s rifles because of the small quantities manufactured (767) and around 50% were destroyed.
I would like £2500 Ono face to face or rfd transfer at cost
