rhhudson
So... After a lot of consideration I have ordered a machine from lubo, I have been scouring the internet and YouTube and think I have got the hang of the annealing bit. (Think being the key word) But my question is at what point do you do it?? Do you do all of your case prep ( size trim etc) before or after the process? And also at what frequency? I was thinking of doing it every second firing or does it need to be done everytime to feel the benefits? Thanks
jcampbellsmith
I de-prime, then anneal every time, then clean with steel pins, then resize etc.... The essence of reloading is to do the same thing every time. Regards JCS
cooter
I normally anneal after cleaning then size and trim the cases, then give them a quick spin in the US before drying and loading to remove any debris. I anneal after five firings, but I don't use hot or near hot loads so I am not working the brass too hard.
VarmLR
As above, keep it consistent. I anneal every firing after de-priming and cleaning. This helps maintain consistent neck tension between loads.
Catch-22
Shoot, deprime, brush case necks & swizz primer pockets, tumble, anneal, size, trim (when relevant) short tumble (only after trimming), prime, load, seat, shoot Then rinse and repeat
