Stiller spectre / aics magazine feeding problem

Hi people,

I bought a stiller spectre action with aics chassis, also a aics mag but when i want to use the magazine in my action it dusnt work, feeding problem . Any people where who experienced the same problem and any solutions to make it work ?

The spectre is designed to use AW magazines I believe.

Ive read on the site of stiller spectre that it handles only double stag mags, ive bought a single stag mag so that mag is a no go ? Can i modifie it ?

No. You will need to buy either an Accuracy International AW or AT magazine. These are double stack and feed from the side. They are much shorter and in my opinion the better of the two styles.

Double and single stack aside, the AICS and AW magazines have the notch for engaging the magazine catch at a slightly different height. I had to modify my AW mag slightly to feed reliably in my 700DM action in this respect. From memory, without modification, the AICS mags will sit a bit higher than the AW magazine.

So if i lower the magazin i can use it or the mag lip of the aics chassis ?

The action will use either mag.

The problem being the action shape [its hexagonal ] and was designed to fit into the old AICS stock. 

The new stocks have four guide rails inside them for the action to sit on. They don't cause a problem with any action , apart from a spectre.

Either use an AW magazine, or machine off the stock rails, to allow the hex action to sit lower. It will then feed from an AICS mag.

I can confirm what Dave (baldie) says because he built on for me with those components and I have had no feeding problems whatsoever.
