gazzarM1
I am currently having a Remington 700 re barreled . I have an Armalon stock with the M14 mag conversion in which to fit it ,however I have noticed on other rifles with this conversion that they have had a small piece of metal soldered/welded on to the receiver just in front of the trigger group. My question is this....what function does this serve? Not certain myself as the rifle is away at the moment so I can't compare side by side with the stock. bradders
I think it’s to strengthen the receiver after they open it up for the M14 mag conversion
