Mini Magnum
Anyone used this load with N130, what did you settle on charge weight and COL?
Andrew
Vhit lists only a 2.7 grain difference between minimum and maximum with a velocity spread of 200 fps. That's really too close a margin for any kind of definitive, universal sweet spot. Start at minimum and work up.~Andrew
cooter
I ran them at 22 Grn of N130 (book is 21 to max of 23.5 for Hornady 22492) and they produced 0.5 MOA groups out to 200yds but dropped off quickly after that. Higher loads caused fliers in my rifle. Changed to N133 and they shoot about the same using a grain more powder but don't see any fliers.
onehole
Used Vit130 for a long time in a RPA 223 with 50 Vmax{similar weight},,,,load was 23.5 at 5 thou off and stonking accurate(3400) ,,no pressure signs whatsoever but would imagine it was getting toward enough in my rifle,,,,,,,this is NOT a load recommendation of course other than yes Vit 130 can work very well with this sort of bullet weight,,,,,,O
