Antique pocket watch repairers?

Recommended Posts

I've recently inherited a silver 'G. Tasker, Whitechapel' pocket watch and chain (key wind) which wont wind.

I've emailed a couple of 'googled' people specialising in old watch repairs and had no replies.

Does anyone know of a reliable chap who would look at this for me? Probably not worth spending a lot on - even though its over 200yrs old - but thats not the point for me.

Thanks chaps.

Try phoning, Meeks F & Co,

197 Warstone Lane, Birmingham Jewellery Quarters.

Google him.

I'd be surprised if he couldn't help you.

First one I tried: Calman, Glasgow, doesn't repair pocket watches - even though he's in the pocket watch repairers register!!.

Myself and many forum members on TZUk can recommend Brendon http://webwatchmaker.com/

He restored my Omega pocket watch. He sent me pics all the way through the process which was fascinating. Price was very reasonable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
