gbal
Well, why not-"design was to produce the most powerful 22 cf that functions reliably in an AR platform". First blush is it's like a necked 6.8,maybe (it isn't). But it is very like the Winchester 224 E5 experimental cartridge (same military aim) from tthe 1960's. Specs 22 Nosler 55g @ 3350 fps and 1370 ft lb 77g @ 2950 fps and 1488 ft lb Lots US ammo 55g @3240 fps and 1280 ft lb 77g @2750 fps and 1259 ft lb @2800 fps and 1341 ft lb OK....but ... Hornady Superformance 223 53gVmax @3465 fs and 1413 ft lb (Nosler 55g is a 'varmint' bullet too). Hmmm?.....warm 22-250? mmmmm gbal
baldie
As soon as the brass appears i will be having a reamer. Perfect answer for someone who wants a bit more punch from a .223 bolt faced Donor. It will be fun in an AR too. I reckon the cases should feed from a 22-250 mag etc.
