pengo
Good evening all. I'd like to thank everyone for their input and positive comments regarding my "quandry", but having taken all this on board, I have now made the decision to apply for the 6.5x47; and airing on the side of caution, I am also going to request another 6.5 Creedmoor, so that I can cover any eventualities (particularly with the new Lapua brass due at some point in the future). There have been some really in-depth and very informative replies to my question, which have all helped. Thank you once again, everybody. Now let's see if everything is accepted by the FLO. Cheers. NigelM
I have a 6.5*47 and a 6-6.5*47. Both stunning little chambering. Very accurate, easy to load for and economical. I use the 6mm for fox with NV and the 6.5 for smaller deer species. Both 26" #5 fluted barrels on blueprinted Rem 700 actions in B&C stocks. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend either of them. Not tried a Creedmor yet.
