Brillo
Shooting at Severnside this morning was very tricky. The sun was right in from of us and very low and bright, making target acquisition a bit of a strain. What made it worse was the mirage coming from my barrel as the hot metal hit the cold air. I think I need a mirage band. Where's the best place to get one?

The Gun Pimp
Usually a Venetian blind slat and a couple of self-adhesive velcro pads do the job.
Swarovski1
Does using a mirage band affect the accuracy ( harmonics of the barrel ) or not.with my armalon Picattiny rail and muzzle brake there are holes to accommodate a mirage band

Mine is just stuck on with velcro squares.
Swarovski1
I should of said there is a hole in the Picattiny rail and a screw on the muzzle brake that the band hooks over.i wasn't sure it affected accuracy or not because the barrel isnt really free floating being attached too something.rambling a bit now.you know what I am getting at.cheers swaro
