Torque settings for XLR Element chassis

Hi all,

 

Just wondering if anyone can recommend torque setting GS for action screws on the XLR chassis. The screws are going into a stainless sreel custom rem700 footprint action.

 

XLR recomended 65 and 45inchlb

Pardon me, but if there is a recommendation from the chassis manufacturers, why are you looking for other settings?

 

I use 55 Inch/Lb on both my KRG X-Ray and GRS Bolthorn as recommended.

I'm just erring on the side of caution as my smith suggested not going up to 65in lb. He suggesTed staying with 55inlb also.

May I suggest use of a torque limiter - much more compact than a torque wrech.
