Owd nail....sort of...

Recommended Posts

I have a friend who is retired, and comes in most days to potter, as he's a shooter. Nice to have a bit of company, and regular tea !

He's left handed, and has had his eye on this l/h Thor thats been sat in safe for ages.

We came up with a plan, and fitted it with a sassen 1 in 8" , and chambered it in 6.5 creedmoor.

The barrel is 26" long and fitted with my 3 port brake, and also an invisible cap when its not in use.

20 MOA rail and a jewel trigger.

He has a third eye chassis on one of his other guns, so I gave them a buzz to order one, only to be told, they were not making any.

I asked if there were any odds and ends kicking about, and Craig sorted a leftie for us. What a guy.

The paint is the popular American style, known as "distressed" It lends itself very well to angular chassis, and particularly AR15's.

Base is Burnt bronze, with Armour black, then clear ceracoat lacquer.

Personally, I love it, and will be doing my own AR when it gets a new barrel very shortly.

Not my cup of tea either Matt, but the stock is very functional and fits very well.

Everything is in the right place, and it adjusts to fit anyone.

Trev already has one on his long range .308, so wanted another similar gun.
