Lightforce v Night Sabre

I'd like to move on from the cumbersome lightforce 170 & battery packs to a lightweight led style lamp.

 

I've come across the night sabre dfrom Ludicrous Lumens, and wonder if anyone has one and could provide a comparison with a lightforce on range, duration etc. Looks good on paper, but it'd be great to get some info from users.

 

Also, if there's anything else out there in led land equivalent or better than a lightforce, it'd be great to here about it.

I've never had a lightforce but I've got a sabre from LL.....it's does the job fine for me and it's all I use. Small and compact, fits in your jacket pocket easily. All in all a very decent bit of kit.

Where are you located? like yourself I'm a long term LF170 user, I also have a T67 from LL. The T67 is on par with the LF but its a much tighter a beam and slightly different light

West Scotland here mate. Seemingly the Xmlu2 pill on the sabre is a wider beam and a warmer light for lamping.

I use the Alpha too and it's great. You won't be disappointed.
