Totsy
What would you choose for crows, pigeon, rabbits. Very little lamping involved. Something which is parallax corrected for approx 50m? Thanks.
Chris-NZ
This would easily do the trick. 50 yd parallax setting https://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/nikon-products/riflescopes/prostaff-rimfire-ii-3-9x40-bdc-150.html#tab-ProductDetail-ProductTabs-TechSpecs
Elliott
This would do perfectly: http://www.hawkeoptics.co.uk/vantage-4-12x50-rimfire-22-subsonic.html I've only got a 3-9x40 on my CZ452 22LR and I'm confidently shooting rabbits out to 130 yards. In fact o dropped two, one after the other, at 185 yards the other day. Keep it simple and nice and light for the rimmy

Savage Steve
Why go for parallax adjustable (nv maybe) personally I'd go for a decent 6x42. S.S.
Chris-NZ
Your "6x42" will almost certainly have the parallax factory set at 100yds or maybe further. At 30-40 yds, that means you will have obvious parallax. Many serious rimfire users just don't want this. Doesn't matter to your average centrefire user of course. VarmLR
I use the Hawke Sport HD IR rimfire SR scope for my 22LR: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hawke-Sport-Rimfire-Riflescope-HK3035/dp/B00HPUR9AW Perfectly adequate and nice and light. IR is an advantage too. You do have to work out the best mag for the ret as it will vary according to ammo used. Mine seems to be about right on 6.5x using Eley subs. David Hancock
Hawke Sidewinder 4-16X50 £349. Different ret options. I don't care what anyone else says, the new glass, the reticle options, dial up turrets, combined with the care taken over the packaging stuffs anything out there for the price. Take the label off and "in real life situations" you would think you are shooting a far more expensive SightMarchZeissBender scope. Speak to Clinton at Dauntsey and he would save you £140 and suggest a Panorama. I was very very surprised just how good it was. Or go retro and find a Simmons Whitetail Classic 3-15x50 at Uttings for £150 !!!!! Bulletproof and neat.
