Morning Ronin,

Barrel length looks proportionate. When you say the rails 'bonded' - literally 'glued'?

Is this 'the' rifle BTW? :)

Ai used to bond (and pin) picatinny rails to AW series 11mm dove tails withou problem so I guess same train of thought.

100% !

Can't imagine having a pic rail that isn't either machined into the action, or bonded on. Makes no sense! :)

(and, as with AI, that which is bonded can be easily unbonded - although, on a rifle of this type, other than serious damage, once 'on', know anyone 'sensible' who's ever taken a pic rail off? )

Just out of curiosity what advantages are there from having the rail bonded on over drilled, tapped and screwed on?

It's bonded and screwed (I hope!)

Some people go to the trouble of bedding their rails, this is no different, except the bond almost definitely takes out the possibility of 'loose rail' affecting accuracy.

-Just removing another potential variable.
