caerhays sniper
Hi I was in a local gunshop last night and although I was there to pick up my new Creedmoor a rifle caught my eye but there was something about it I wasn't sure about. The barrel which was a fluted 17 Fireball factory barrel had been shortened? Is this a done thing I thought it was bit of a no-no, Cheers Jim
247sniper
Hiya Jim, Why would it be a No-no, people shorten/cut barrels all the time? Depending on its original length and cut length there will be some sort of velocity loss but out to 300 yards in field conditions for example 100 - 200 ftps would make sod all difference.
