From memory Dave Walls wrote something on the hide about torque settings, from what I remember he was saying that AI had tested the rifles with the factory quoted torque ranges. Hide members including Lowlight were using / recommending a higher torque of about 55 inch lbs, which as Mr Walls pointed out the rifles had not been tested for.

Yes, I remember reading that. If I recall correctly, he said that they had tested a variety of different torque settings during development of the rifles, but had found that 5.5Nm gave the best accuracy.
