You can't tell a case is correctly annealed by the colour of the brass, yes it's an indication but it varies too much between makes, batches and even the cleanliness of the case being annealed.

 

Tempilaq is a much more accurate indicator, I also use the 650F (Yellow) in much the same place, starting about 1/8" below the shoulder, this (from the testing I have done) changes colour when the neck reaches 700f-750f

If you have the 750F green labelled bottle then no, it's fine, just use it on the neck above the shoulder area. Best place is a dab on the inside of the case neck so it's not directly exposed to the flame.

 

You'll have to run a wire cleaning brush (using a drill is the easiest) inside the neck afterwards as it's a bit of a monkey to get off when it's baked on :)

A technical question ... I have your machine and now I burn 6 br brass and 6.5x47. And I'm going to use a 284 now. Do I need a new plate?
