Laurie Posted February 26, 2016 Report Share Posted February 26, 2016 What was Accurate-1680 in the days when it was Accurate Arms and they got a lot of their powders from the Czech company Explosia is still available under its European name, Lovex DO63. As BlueBoy69 notes, it's not identical to the (American) Accurate 1680 - we don't get any current 'Accurate' brand powders here except those that overlap with Ramshot grades and are produced by PB Clermont in Belgium. I can't comment on .17 Hornet, but tried it some years back in .22 Hornet and 7.62X39mm. It should have worked really well in the 7.62 as this is the canister version of the bulk Explosia propellant supplies for mass production of factory M43 military ball ammo in eastern Europe. I didn't like it in either as it happens - very dirty and it needed peak pressures to work at all well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Andrew Posted February 28, 2016 Report Share Posted February 28, 2016 I have used it quite a bit in the 300 Blackout. Accuracy was good but the velocities were far lower than listed for my 16" bolt gun and when I hit "max" listed load I was still 150 fps under the data. Guesty Posted December 24, 2016 Report Share Posted December 24, 2016 I have used old Czech made AA1680 to get extraordinary performance out of my 17 Hornet with both 20 and 25gn bullets. As Laurie reports AA now make their own 1680 in the States, but the Czech made stuff is now available as Lovex D063. Furyan Posted January 1, 2017 Report Share Posted January 1, 2017 25grn vmax - 8.9 grn lillgun shoots fine and flat out to 200 and 9.1grn lillgun shoot well with 20grn vmax , just playing with seating depths. Ive also got a tub of Vhit120 to try as i couldn't get into with the Lovex supplier. wish i could fine some data for Reload swiss for the 17hh.
