Ronin
Red and black electrical tape wrapped over the springs of the Harris, keeps it quite when deploying,,,,,no batteries.

phaedra1106uk
Don't forget to put some sort of padding on the side of the cheek riser, when folded the bolt heads dig into the chassis and scratch it!.

An interesting solution to the folding stock issue was recently posted on Snipers Hide.
Ronin
Weight of rifle in the images is 9.8 lbs Very light for what is a very solid system.
gbal
Thanks Andy, very reasonable for this class rifle. I think I'll have to wait til I'm younger,and/or find smaller hills! g
Ronin
With a lighter profile barrel you would probably get it to 7 lbs easilly Ive always like the XLR stocks, I was planning a build around a Barnard P for a 375 CT for a while but the cost and case availability became an issue - another project on the "to do" list

gbal
Andy, yes that would help-but at some cost to it's dual target role. Compromise dual use rifles are often just that-have to be,but well done, they are an option.. I'll just plod on with the M/S carbine 6.5 lb,until the wood and lack of plastic become too,too yesterday -early last century really (!),and powered trolley for the F classer. More compromises, concessions to maturity! :-) g

Ronin
Forgot to ask, did you source the stock in the UK or from elsewhere (-)? The stock was supplied to me by the customer, new and boxed from an importer. Id have to check but I think the name is correct - they are in Norway.
