Remington 700 upgraded.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm toying with selling this rifle as I own two .308s now.

Remington 700 featuring:

Re-barrelled with 1 in12 twist 26 inch heavy barrel (£1000+ worth)

Bigger, heavier recoil lug

Fully blueprinted and "accurised" bolt and action

Tan AICS fixed stock

Picatinny scope rail

Parker hale bipod and spigot

Parker hale hand stop and push button sling loop

5 round standard mag

Two 10 round mags

Quick adjust screws on the cheek piece

Picatinny side rail for lights etc

I have kept a barrel log for this since I purchased it. Less than 300 rounds since the barrel changed.

No brake, no moderator but hardly any recoil and very quiet thanks to the new barrel.

Fired a "good bye" shoot on this on Sunday. 5 rounds, 100m, windy day, big standard 145gr PPU ammo and less than 25mm group.

I used this rifle when all around me were running T3s and AIs etc (with hand loads) and I still came a close 2nd at 600m with shop brought ammo.

Asking around the £2000 but please feel free to make me an offer. I'm near Bristol if anyone wants to look at her.

I'm selling to fund a .308 M4 style straight pull / side charging rifle for competition use. Wanna swap? ?

Hi all,

Old post but an update...

Due to work constraints it's not been easy to show this to those who've been interested. To that end its being sold on my behalf by Dauntsey Gun in Wiltshire.

Note the price drop and obvious benefits of buying from a shop.

Thanks
