Offroad Gary
Educated reloaders, im looking to develop a load for a 20" 6x47lapua using the 70gn nosler ballistic tip. Data on the web is limited. Ive found these loads, barrel length isnt alway quoted but im sure its will be longer than mine 6x47 lapua 70gn bullet Varget-38-40gn@3595fps N550-36-42.5gn@3686fps N135-38gn@3600fps 80gn bullet N550-38-41gn@3448fps 87/88gn bullet Rl15-38.5-39.5@3440fps N550-35-41gn@3410fps Varget-35-37gn@3181fps H4350-41gn@3300fps 90gn bullet N550-39-40gn@3314fps Powder i have which i think is suitable H4895 N135 Varget N140 H380 N150 Does anyone have any other data or advice as to which would be most suitable. I'd like to keep velocity as high as poss, without sacrificing accuracy. Does quickload cover this and advise max loads for each powder? Thanks in advance
6mmBR
Quick load does cover this cartridge it's under the name 6mmHot. I've used it and it was pretty good. Sorry I've only got experience of this caliber with long barrels and heavy bullets. Cheers Dave
Bianchi
The 6x47 Swiss Match Cartridge is very similar to 6x47L but a tad shorter. Data for this one is available in QL and should serve as a suitable starting point.
trucraft
Tagged in on this one as I am having my Tikka chambered in this cal as we speak. Same barrel length but will probability run slightly heavier bullets.

Offroad Gary
Managed to chrony the 6x47l today, 3460 fps with 70gn btip and 38gn n135. If anyone with quickload is prepared to run a few different powders for me from the list above, i'd much appreciate it. Pm with contact details if you can help please. Offroad Gary
Cheers Mark, mine is 10 twist, i only want to shoot 70gn ballistic tips in it. I found 3 blitzkings and tried them with same load and coal and there was really poor obturation, the b tips work really well.
