gbal
I can't abide high morality in chicks. maximus otter max, eagle eyed indeed! You detect the error of my wise,to a 't' ! mea culpa :-) MInd you, according to the recent symposium proceedings in the Californian Journal Of Raptor Ethics,it's not an eggsact science, with precocial condors being easily 'lead' astray. Responsibility is directed at the parents,of course. No coincidence Berger relocated to California. g
markfromholland
I use 7.5 grains of trail boss under a 40 gr vmax in a 223. Gives 650 mtrs/sec of speed. yes, i need to dial up 15 cm on 100 mtrs compared to my full power loads, but is is a very acceptable noise. Especially when in use with a moderator. Boydy47
No one's mentioned it so far but you could try a 55 FMJ at full noise. Still fatal but without the meat destruction. Ricochets can however be an issue with these. Had the definition of meat destruction yesterday - 95 V-Max out of a .260 at 80yds on a hare. 3" hole right through the shoulder, head left hanging by 1/4" of skin. Cats still enjoyed the backsteaks and rear legs To be fair that sounds very similar to a 35gr v-max out of my hornet at similar range so lighter explosive bullets can do just as much damage at shorter ranges!
