baldie
Just finished this one this morning, and it made a refreshing change to do something different ! This is a left handed .223 Wylde built on an Odin action. The action has a 20 moa rail, fluted bolt and ball handle , pinned lug etc. Barrel is a Border 1 in 8" finished at 26" [i think ] Screwcut 5/8" x 18 UNF and invisible capped. It also has a stainless One Less Charlie custom made, muzzle mounted moderator. These are lovely bits of kit and beautifully made. The barrelled action is in Cerakote Armour Black H series. Trigger is a jewell. I,ve fitted a floorplate that takes one of my converted .308 to .223 magazines and this is machined out then bedded in to , up with the pillar and devcon bedding under the action. This gives a solid wall of devcon from top to bottom , internally, and nothing can move when done on a wooden stock. This is obviously a benefit on a material that could possibly be unstable due to temperature/weather. Moving onto the stock. This is a Grodas and they are indeed lovely. I love bedding these stocks as they always end up looking exceptionally neat due to the devcon being the same colour as the grey in the laminate....it all but dissappears. This barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde , which will allow the use of long, heavy 80 grain bullets if required and still feed from a mag. Best of both worlds really. Really enjoyed building this one....must do more laminates.

Murph
Stunning rifle as always dave. Very handy with the magazine set up like that. Great work.
Big Al
Why does the bolt handle not fit the notch in the stock properly? From my point of view that's a disappointing imperfection in an otherwise very nice looking rifle, it would bug me no end.
baldie
Quite simple. The stock was made for a remington 700 and it has a swept back bolt. My action does not.

David Hancock
Mackers is a lucky chappie. Love the look of that. I understand Grodas can produce a left hand stock, not inletted for a right hand action and finished by your smith.
