Hows your brass holding up? Your powder charges seem quite high.

I only pushed the 95's up to 39.3 varget in mine, was doing 3024fps from a 21" barrel.

Is you 18" measeured to bolt face or front of action?

What twist barrels are you guys running

Hi Gary, I've had as many as 5 firings from my brass, I do change now after every 3, just because I like to, not because the primer pockets are loose or anything like that. I did run it with a full grain higher 43.5g, with no issues at all, for most of it's life.

I've just surprised myself when measuring my barrel to answer your question, it was originally a 26" one, I had 8" chopped off to make it 18", I have just measured it and it is 18" from the start of the chamber, not the start of the rifling, I have to admit, I'm quite amazed myself, meaning it's around 16" of rifling, minus the fire cracking, so I have about 13"-14" of barrel left!

Best Regards,

Mark

Hi gaz as previously discussed, my barrel is a Lothar in 8.5 twist. Lothar is harder barrel also. I will have to develop loads but I reckon either the 47 or .260 mate, just go for one. The end of the day there is negligible difference for the purpose. Just pick I was asked on the phone by my local force well 6.5 was on my request and they said which 47 or .260 I just went which ever popped into my head at the time lol.

Can't go wrong with either cal.
