baldie
Just got in from a busy day. My little lad decided he needed some pocket money this morning so I thought it was too good an opportunity to miss. One job I,ve not been relishing doing was sorting out all the paint, and putting it all back in order etc. The beauty of a new workshop though, is that one-off chance to sort everything out, clean everything down and lay it all out as you want it. Child labour ...ya gotta love it. He,s cleaned all the cupboard out and catalogued all the paint. It will help for re-ordering and also for customers to pick from. Duracoat. Ballistol
Looking good Dave, keep us posted. Whilst I expect that your core business of gunsmithing is your immediate concern, you mentioned branching out into other stuff as well. Do you have an approximate timeline in mind? Whilst I expect that your core business of gunsmithing is your immediate concern, you mentioned branching out into other stuff as well. Do you have an approximate timeline in mind? Hi Garry, Yes, i will be installing a mezzanine floor to store all mail order goods and stock etc. I will be stocking both Rimfire and centrefire ammunition and will also be introducing a range of homeloaded ammunition for sale. I will also now be stocking a full range of reloading supplies, dies, presses , cleaning equipment etc etc. Plus a range of tikka,s remingtons, and cz rifles in both centrefire and rimfire. Its going to take a while as the bank has taken a serious hammering this last 3 months, but I will get there.

baldie
Thanks for that Derek , one to bear in mind. I think realistically it will be six months away as I,m tying to build up stock now. End of this week should hopefully see around 100 barrel blanks in stock. Something I'm keen to build up even further. This unit was up and running yesterday and the first paint job finished and built back up. The monitored system was also finished and configured yesterday too, so all I'm awaiting now is the police inspection to move the RFD over from the old armoury to the new. What a six months the past has been. It is, however, a real pleasure to be in a workshop you have laid out yourself and everything is where you want it. nthnmunky
Sure a lot of work has gone into getting to where you are now. Not only on the move but on building up the reputation and business that you have. A well deserved well done. Good luck with the expanding venture and I'm sure it'll enjoy a deal of success. Great to see.
