JR__
£23K for t.he rifle itself, no...But if they include night and thermal scopes, the cost might not be that far off. JR
Redfox
The quoted price for the rifle with scope is £6900.00 trust these plonkers to get it wrong. Redfox
silentsoulsleave308holes
its the 338lm if you do the conversion and they have had them for years now????????????????????????????????????
Ronin
Another example of media misinformation and hype. I beleive the specialists have been using .338LM for several years and due to extended range difficulties with 308, this calibre has now been adopted as the standard for all units who have sniper capabilities. 23K for an AW - who wants mine - its for sale and i'll be making a healthy profit By the time you put it in a case, fit with a 5-25 PM11 and maybe NV (but I doubt that with the 338Lap) you could get into the reigion of 15K - 23K ? - dream on
ds1
Believe it or not plod here payed about 2x the going rate for TRG rifles and accessories. I dont see a service contract with it either. The army has gone one better, with AI barrels costing - I was told 1500 quid or so - the army are under contract to buy from one distributor for most small arms kit - they set the prices. Accounts for well shagged out barrels in use. Not seen any service contract with then either. Thats the short version, end users dont worry about the cost, decision makers lined their own pockets whilst digging into tax payers pockets a bit deeper, and bean counters were silenced. David.
