baldie
Here's one I finished this morning and then took to Diggle for a pleasant couple of hours in the sunshine. Its a Valkyrie Odin action with standard fluted bolt, and a facetted rear shroud. The barrel is a Border Archer fluted at 20" [ i think ] Screwcut 17mm x 1 with spigot and invisible cap. The moderator is a Northstar. The metalwork is painted in H series Cerakote and the colours are OD green and Armour black. Tactical bolt knob and 20 MOA rail. The stock is a Manners T5 which the customer wished painted to mimic the marble effect on a McMillan. This was done with Duracoat in OD green, Snow grey , and Matt Black. The trigger is a Jewell and the stock is fully pillar and devcon bedded. My bottom metal and a 5 round magazine in .308 calibre. Popped a scope onboard and bore sighted the gun. Shot and cleaned with 5 rounds , then shot a 5 round group with 155 scenars which went around 3/4" Then shot these two groups with 167 scenars and Vhit 150 following the lapua "accurate load " in the manual. Despite being a compressed load, it was far more pleasant to shoot than the 155/rel 15 combo. I dont know why i piss about with 155,s and rel 15 / vhit 140 ect etc...when this load shoots like this. The rounds are SAAMI length and feed easily from a mag. Job done. These are 5 round groups.
