njc110381
I've just been up to the farm that asked me to shoot the Foxes a couple of weeks ago. I've got myself a safe shooting position and the backstop is sorted in the form of a small bank and the muck heap. I'm going up tomorrow night to have a go at the Foxes. The really good part to this is still to come though. The farmer has asked me to reduce the Deer numbers. I'd better get a shift on, there's not much time left for that! 6mmBR
Good on you, don't forget the doe season has been extended to the end of March Dave
njc110381
Am I right in thinking the extension of season covers all females and adds a month? I'm pretty sure they're going to be Roe, although they could be Fallow. The only ones out for me at the moment are Roe bucks I think, which is a shame as I may see some. There's always later on in the year. I only have 6 weeks to get on with it and I don't have a mod or a decent load for my 6.5 yet. I may get my mentor in for a day on my permission. It would be nice to offer him something in return for all his hard work helping me
6mmBR
Don't forget when the does go out at the end of March, roe bucks come in 1st April and you can still shoot red stags until 30th of April. Cheers and good luck. Dave
kip270
To control the numbers you need to get onto the Doe's, so you got a few weeks to get some numbers. Get the permission in writing just to cover yourself
