The Gun Pimp
Andy, I might have said this before - but, if you look on the GBFCA website at www.gbfclass.co.uk you will see the top ten equipment lists for the 2011 Europeans and the 2011 GB F Class League. These guys are as good as anyone in the world - makes sense to look at what they are shooting. Always remember - WEIGHT is the F/TR builder's biggest challenge. The Gun Pimp
Andy, Just tried it - you shouldn't have a problem - www.gbfclass.co.uk - it really is worth reading what those who are shooting F/TR at the highest level are using - unfortunately, when you ask the question on a forum it's possible to get advice from those who don't even shoot F/TR. Target Shooter mag. will shortly be releasing an F/TR supplement comprised of the best of F/TR in the magazine over the last few years - building, reloading, scopes, shooting etc. Cheers Vince

Ronin
Personally, I would re think the action choice - quadlocks have stiff bold lift that upsets the rifle on the bag. Plenty of better choices (IMHO) Barnard, BAT, GBR, VAlkerie, Stiller etc etc etc
garyw
I had a butchers at the winning list and all the gear they use ,seems to me that the 7mm rules and the straight 284 and shehane version are snapping at there heels, saw a gun built by a certain mr Bottomley was steered to victory by mr.Anselm.that story is a good read. The Gun Pimp
GaryW, Don't forget - we are talking F/TR here - in Open Class - yes the 7WSM rules! But, in F/TR it has to be 308 or maybe 223 - if you enjoy beating yourself up! Cheers Vince

6mmBR
Both sound good but I think the stock choice is for an F open class gun not a .308 FTR rig. As Vince said study what the top guys are using. Or you will end with something you can't use for either.
