My Tikka T3 Left Handed Thumb Hole Stock Fitted !

Recommended Posts

I decided to restock my True Left Handed Tikka T3 .223 Stainless Light with a thumb hole stock, it always seems difficult getting things for leftys but I managed to order this laminate stock from www.laminategunstocks.co.uk, my very good friend Colin ( onelesscharlie ) bedded the stock for me and I finished it of.

Iam not really a fan of fancy rifles and I just like shooting foxes, I put the thumb hole stock on in the hope that it would feel better to shoot, after many painstaking days of treating, sanding and waxing I finished it just in time for the moon to disappear. The Rifle feels much better to shoot and I have already shot a few foxes this week with it, and it feels great ! it also helps me shoot better with the Starlight Archer attached.

I put it all back together, put on my Bushnell which has the Leupold quick release mounts fitted to it, zeroed at 150 yards a few clicks to the right and had a nice clover leaf pattern. Many thanks to Colin (onelesscharlie) for all his help.

I have a variation app in for a .243 and have no intention of restocking this one ! on the other hand I might just restock this one with a Manners GAT ambidextrous thumb hole stock, two screws and its done !!!

Thanks for looking.

Very nice indeed, like to have one of them on my Sako 75 .223, mind if I ask how much it cost.

Cheers, Tony.

Thanks for the remarks, the stock cost me £225.00 + £15.00 for the finishing kit, sealer wax etc and £30.00 for the epoxy resin to bed the stock. I have used it this week and it realy does feel good to shoot, and look quite nice not that Iam bothered about that to much.

For the money that stock is very tidy. A bargain.

Not sure who would be able to supply you with a stock for a quad.

Maybe staffordshire synthetic stocks? I think 'bullet 243' on here makes laminate stocks, he may be worth a try.

Im not a big thumbhole stock fan, i like a straight up and down pistol type grip.

Saying that I have just bought a thumbhole rpa and if I cant get on with it when I get it I will be looking at other alternatives too.

Health to enjoy that one!
