All four shot groups, working out my fireforming load. And shot at 100 yards.

 

With the 52.5 grains over 4 shots i had an ES of 17FPS and the 53.0 grains an ES of 12 FPS

that which promotes growth and vigour sorry meant to say its a very annorexic 20 lbs dead with the scope on . Need to add a bit of weight some how and a large bolt knob.

Looking good Mark, see your going down the reloader 17 route.

I tried 55.5 grains in a formed case and got 3070fps with a 180 VLD!

H4831SC a bit more uniform 58 grains giving 2930 fps works equally well in forming or formed brass.

Dave just using the r17 for fireforming too use some up as i have a bit in stock :ph34r: and also to save the 4831 for propper loads

Lovely looking action but the stock is an awful colour :D:lol:

 

When you gonna shoot it in anger?

 

i got the idea of that colour from your bed linnen mike :ph34r:

for attention of Grant and Dave.

What volumetric increase did you have betwean the parent and fireformed case please as i went from

 

parent case at 66.47 grains to

fireformed case 68.05 grains

giving an 1.58 grains increase :angry:

 

 

 

all figures are average over a 10 case selection using the H20 method
