I was expecting the pic of him to have a height scale in the background and a little plaque with some

numbers.....then in bold type to read:

Interpols Most Wanted...if you see this person contact your local authorities immediatly!!!

Kellog,

Prairie dogs are in the rodent family...about the size of a Grey squirrel but minus the long tail.

They live in colonies or as we call them Prairie Dog Towns...Dog Towns for short.

A town can cover a couple hundred acres or a couple thousand acres.

They are considered vermin as the borrows and holes can cover many many acres. It is possible for a cow or horse break to break a leg by gettin the leg caught in the hole.

They also spread many diseases,Bubonic Plague is one...

They multiply like rabbits...and are loads of fun to shoot.

Shooters use anything from .17HMR to .50BMG and the

range they are shot at varies from feet to the limitation of

the scope and caliber and the shooters skills.

Hope this helps.

Oh Yeah...Bring lots of ammo....Rough guess a thousand rounds per gun.

A 503yrd squirrel size rodent. Blimey!

There can't be much left if you nail one with a 50BMG.

One of the guys was over here back in June....in the Varmint section go back about 6 pages and look for a thread called Praire Dog Shoot....There is actually 2 threads titled that...but ya want the later June one...Some excellant pics there.
